Screen systems is one of the disciplines that Bom Group manages. We know what systems is the most suitable for every project. We can also add the system, if the circumstances requires it. We ensure that the system fully integrates with the greenhouse and any other installations, for an optimal growing environment.
The installation of screens is one of Bom Group’s services. We have been developing screen systems ourselves since 1979, including the extremely widely-used ABS screen system. Bom Group supplies and installs various types of horizontal screens including:
- Energy screens
An energy screen is used both to control the climate and to save energy. Different fabric types are available to make a major contribution to improved greenhouse insulation.
- Sunscreens
A typical feature of a sunscreen is that it reflects sunlight while maintaining natural ventilation. This is achieved with an open fabric structure, enabling air exchange to occur without opening the screen. This can achieve a cooler greenhouse climate during sunny and warm weather conditions.
- Grow light screens
Ever stricter light emission legislation has resulted in the grow light screen playing an increasingly greater role in illuminated cultivation. Different types of fabric have been developed, with light interception variable from 85% to 99%. To take maximum advantage of the air exchange, there are also possibilities to work with two layers one under the other.
- Shade screens
Bom Group’s shade screens comply entirely with today’s high demands and have a long service life. Our professional working method ensures a gap-free fitting so light no longer permeates through the screen.
As grower, you can use your shade screen to determine day lengths, independent of the sunshine outside.
- ABS wire system
ABS stands for Anti Block System (anti-jam) and is a unique invention (invented by Bom Group in 1994). The ABS screen system has already been used in many projects to clients’ great satisfaction. As the attachment between the screen profile and the pull wire is implemented using a slip system, the installation always closes fully. In the open condition, the screen package is always kept to a minimum.
- Push-pull system
Bom Group’s push-pull system is driven by steel rack and pinions and steel push-pull rods, resulting in reduced forces on the greenhouse walls compared with other pull-wire systems. This is a particular advantage when multiple screens are used.

Bom Group’s roll-up gable screens contribute to a more even temperature distribution and consistent growth of the crops in the greenhouse. The perfect closure of our roll-up gable screens ensures maximum energy saving and reduction of light entering or escaping. Also, if desired, a greenhouse section can be completely shaded off.

When the layout of a greenhouse has to be altered in a very short time, Bom Group’s Twin Wall Screen is a responsible and logical choice. Twin Gable Screens enable the climate in one area of the greenhouse to be separated off. Twin Gable Screens can also be used to save energy or for shading-off purposes.

The Intranetting© blind/mesh system developed by Bom Group is optimally integrated into the aluminium roof vent. As the fitting ensures minimal light loss, we see the finish as one unit. The system is roof-wash-friendly and guarantees optimal drainage of condensate. As well as intranetting, the cassette mesh system or simple pouch system can also be supplied.
